How to Calculate Rahu Kaal for Your Location

1. Note your local sunrise and sunset times 2. Calculate the total daylight duration (sunset minus sunrise) 3. Divide by 8 to get one segment's duration 4. Count from sunrise to the appropriate segment for the day

Example: Sunrise 5:45 AM, Sunset 7:00 PM (13 hours 15 minutes daylight)

• One segment = 13h 15m ÷ 8 = approximately 1 hour 40 minutes
• For Monday (2nd segment): 5:45 AM + 1h 40m = 7:25 AM to 9:05 AM = Monday's Rahu Kaal

Auspicious ceremonies:

Travel:

Rahu Kaal only affects new beginnings — it does not make existing activities, routine tasks, or general daily life inauspicious:
