Commonly cited pre-marriage manifestations include delays in finding a suitable partner, a filtering effect from families concerned about dosha matching, and occasionally broken engagements. Post-marriage, the core traditional theme is temperamental intensity: more heated disagreements, a household that needs more deliberate effort to stay calm, blunter communication patterns, and — specifically for Mars in the 12th house — variation in intimacy expectations between partners.
